The story
Most of the photographs in A Bless in Grey were taken more than thirty-five years ago.
At the time, they were never intended for exhibition, publication, or sale. They were simply fragments of ordinary days, captured on film and stored away in sleeves and boxes.
Years passed.
The cities changed. The people disappeared into their own lives. Some places no longer exist as they once did. Yet the photographs remained.
Looking at them now, I find myself drawn not to what is shown, but to what quietly survives within each frame — a moment of light, a passing shadow, a street corner that no longer remembers being photographed.
I am not a professional photographer. My work today is in web design. These images are not part of an ongoing project, nor are they the beginning of a photographic career.
They are simply traces of time.
A Bless in Grey is a small collection of those traces, preserved and shared in the hope that someone, somewhere, may find a moment of stillness within them.
